I cut this out almost 2 years ago as a sample to test out a La Mode Illustree pattern.
Construction continues… Curvy enough at the bust that it can’t lay flat anymore:

I ended up having to redo one seam to get the stripes to be more similar from side to side :) I’m happy with the end results, quite a tedious but wonderful project :)...
This month I wrote an article for Foundations Revealed on matching stripes in corsetry. I’ve taken the tutorial fabric and proceeded onto making the actual corset from the demo in the article.
Shown over incorrect corset which happened to be on the mannequin: The second ruffle for some reason ended up tighter than planned once the boning was inserted even though they were all gathered identically....
