Project diaries: I’m behind!

I am so behind on the dress diaries for all my commissions! I should just write them as I go & save them as unpublished drafts but I’ve been busy enough I haven’t keep up as much as I’d like for this blog.

For a lot of my projects I am not posting the “making of” as I go because most people do not want their outfits/commissions on display before a specific date. This means I get lazy and don’t write up things on a regular basis because I’m not actually posting them yet.

Some of my work does not even make it into my portfolio because some people want projects kept fully private. Most people however love showing off their projects online. Some clients get updates only to their private e-mail along the way. Others, like the current red wedding ensemble, have been displayed since the start, which is another fun way to enjoy the process. The final results of course won’t be seen until the big unveiling at the event.

I’ll be playing catch up on some projects so you will be seeing the “making of” for projects already in the gallery. Should I bother? I think so, but let me know if you guys don’t find it worthwhile to read. I won’t be able to put as much work into this as I’d like but I do try to take photos and work up as much about my construction as possible to share.
