Queen Victoria revamp: cape
This cotton velvet cape was dismantled for alterations. A brown fur has been removed and white/cream fur added along the hood, and around the neckline. Cream tassels finish the ends of the front sections and the hood.
This blue velvet cape needed a touch of work on the interlining which was too big and causing the front sections to fold in on itself. The cape was un-stitched from the lining, the interfacing re-cut, everything re-sewn then by hand I prick stitched through from the lining side to hold the interfacing in place. It isn’t perfect but it will suffice on short notice.
