Green and Gray Gown: alterations
Shortly after this lovely green & gray Middles gown was finished my client lost a significant amounts of weight to make the outfit unwearable. The bodice just didn’t fit right even overlapped at front. We waited till her weight stabilized and decided to make the alterations at the side back seams.
Picking apart the seamlines:
Hand stitched back together:
The excess seam fabric was left in situ so that it would be available if future alterations were required. The excess was basted down to minimize bulk.
I will take some photos of it on a Uniquely you at we are currently fitting. And then eventually when all the boxes in the garage go away, a photoshoot of the final result on a real body can take place.
