Custom matching mask
I just finished the matching mask for the Reversible corset ensemble. It was a mask purchased as a “second”(due to damages to the painting), in Venice, with the intent of covering it with the matching fabrics from the corset.
You can see I even incorporated a touch of the piping from the corset. I adore how the pattern of the embroidery is mimiced in the gold textured portion on the left of the mask. I designed it free form with glue and scissor on hand- futzing with scraps of fabric until then magically ended up on the mask. It was a very freeing and enjoyable exercise.
Lovely! :D
Reminds me, I should pull out my lifecast and work on a new mask… Hm.
That is really gorgeous, Laurie.
