Workroom: the wall repairs & unpacking

I mentioned the termite damage we found when replacing the windows. Here are some rather gruesome photos of the interior when the contractor ripped off the paneling:

The termite damaged boards were replaced and then some insulation put in before the wall board was put on:

I can’t find my image of the wall board before we moved everything into place :( I’ll tell you I can already notice the different in there from the new windows and insulating one wall. Here are some photos of the progress on the workroom since the wall was done:

More things are getting unpacked and others are being shifted around. I’m playing with a few different placements. I will decide (and finalize them) once I get around to finding the time to paint my new wall. Everything will have to be moved away from the wall again *sigh*

I also have my wii fit in my workroom along with my couch. I need to remember to exercise & to get up and stretch. I My doctor also wants me to lay down at least 5 minutes every hour to give my back a rest.

The blue and red theme developed after a friend gave me all his red and blue items when moving back to Singapore. He had actually commissioned me for the draperies so it is ironic for me to have them hanging up in my workroom now!

So my life still consists of lots of unpacking but the major repairs are done sans the painting part. I have the paint already – so it is just priming and at least one layer of paint to go.
