Silver & Gold

This outfit was put together as two separate pieces for an event with the intention of finishing it off as a complete full length gown. It was fun to play around with having the design continue into my hair. It is entirely hand-pieced and hand-sewn.

The main challenge was draping and fitting the gown as it had to be done on my body. With the help of Breanna, we managed to get everything pinned on me and sewn in time. Although the dress was in pieces on the airplane and I sewed most of it during travel time! We used safety pins so I wouldn’t lose any of the fitting details while piling it into a handbag awaiting stitching.
