Edwardian World’s Faire 2008

My sister and some of my girlfriends attended friday of weekend of Edwardian ball events as an impromptu bachelorette party. The rain welcomed us:

As you can see I never got around to applying any make-up – not my best face to meet.

I met Suzanne Forbes (see above photo), who does lovely portraiture and illustration. Back during Dickens Christmas Fair she had sketched my portrait but I was behind glass at the time. We talked corsetry a bit as patrons walked by and admired her work. It was great to see her paintings in person.

I think I enjoyed Friday this year more than Sunday I attended last year. Perhaps Jeremy and I will go to the actual ball for our 1 year anniversary next year.
