Girl’s Victorian gown
My friend’s daughter has her birthday on Halloween. I decided to make her a costume that she could perhaps use at Dickens Fair this year or next year. I built the petticoat into the skirt since she won’t be wearing a corset underneath to tie and keep the petticoat up. I find that often kids don’t have a depression enough at the waist to keep their petticoats up. On my son I gave his petticoat bracers to fix that problem.
